When is the best time of day? For outdoor portraits the best light is at the first or last hour of the day when it is not so hot and bright. For indoor portraits the time doesn't matter, but for very young children it is best to choose whichever time they are at their best. This is often early morning.
What if it is raining? On the day we call and make a judgment. We can either reschedule or take the photos in our studio.
How much will it cost? Small matted prints start from $45 and large framed composites from $745. It does depend on what you decide to get, but say a large wall print or composite, plus a few small prints and a couple for the grandparents usually works out at $700-$1000.
Is there a sitting fee? Yes, this is $65 and covers the photographer's time plus time spent working on the images on the computer
Can you frame the prints? Yes, we can supply them framed or you have the option of taking them to your favorite framer.
Do I have to place my order at the time of purchasing appointment? Yes, it is best to see everything a good size on the big screen and we can advise on different options for you. It is best that all decision makers are present then. This can take a good hour or more and may prove tedious for the little ones so we recommend a child free appointment.
Do you put proofs on the internet? No, we have experienced difficulties when people try and order a large print from a small thumbnail and then find their expressions etc were not right. We prefer you to see everything at a large size using the projector in our studio.
How long do orders take to complete? Small prints can just take a few days but the larger wall prints take about 2-3 weeks.
Can I get the images on CD? We specialize in fine prints for wall décor. We are happy to supply any printed image that you have purchased on CD for multimedia or social networking purposes. These can be emailed and viewed on iphones, facebook etc but are not suitable for printing. We do not sell high resolution images on disc.
Is it possible to lay by my purchase? We ask for either full payment up front, or half up front and half when the prints are ready. We can take Visa/Mastercard and eftpos.
