Of all the types of photography we do, portraits of families and children are our favourites.

Your family is constantly changing and growing. To capture your family at a special moment is a treasure to keep forever. Our objective is to produce the most beautiful images of your family that you can hang on your wall and enjoy for the rest of your life.

We can offer you a full choice of colour, black & white, sepia or digital composite prints .

Pine Creek Pictures Property

We now take most of our portraits on and around our property down the scenic Little Mulgrave Valley. Here we have 5 acres with horse paddocks, fences, sheds etc. Just around the corner is the Little Mulgrave River. This area is ideal for natural outdoor portraits.

Other Locations

We do have the option of taking indoor photos at our studio at 247 McLeod Street in North Cairns. We also find the beach to be very popular.

Time of day

The last hour or so of the day is always the best time to take outdoor photos. At this time the sun has gone down, reducing its harsh glare and heat. Then we get a beautiful soft light evenly illuminating your faces.

Process

On the day you are welcome to bring along as many family members as you wish for the photo session. There is no limit to the amount of photos taken or changes of clothes.

A few days after the shoot the photos are ready for viewing. You can come to the studio to enjoy your very own slide show. Here you can choose which images you like at the sizes that you want.

Please note we are not able to email images or provide proofs to take away with you.

Print Prices

Small matted prints start from $45 and large framed composites from $745. It does depend on what you decide to get, but say a large wall print or composite, plus a few small prints and a couple for the grandparents usually works out at $700-$1000.
